Oğuz Şavk
I am a CNRS postdoctoral researcher at Laboratoire de Mathématiques Jean Leray in Nantes, France. My faculty mentor is Marco Golla. I received my Ph.D. from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey. My supervisor was Çağrı Karakurt.
My research interests lie broadly in the areas of low-dimensional geometry and topology, with a primary focus on knots and links; 3- and 4-manifolds; complex surfaces; contact, hyperbolic, and symplectic structures; Heegaard Floer homology; and fibrations and links of singularities.
Here is a link to my mathematical genealogy, and the pronunciation of my name.
