If you want a soft, natural warmth that absorbs moisture for track days and daily commutes alike, choose OGLAND Black Fuzzy Sheepskin; if you need a firm, non-slip grip with built-in massage features to relieve fatigue on long drives, choose Road Comforts Car Steering Wheel.
• OGLAND Black Fuzzy Sheepskin: Its biggest strength is the luxurious, hypo-allergenic Australian Merino sheepskin that insulates against both extreme heat and cold while absorbing sweat naturally; its trade-off is that it requires careful hand care and cannot be machine washed or submerged in water. This pick is for drivers who prioritize tactile comfort and natural temperature regulation over durability against heavy wear.
• Road Comforts Car Steering Wheel: Its biggest strength is the durable, high-quality TPE material that offers a sporty, non-slip texture with built-in massage nodes to combat driving fatigue; its trade-off is that the synthetic microfiber construction lacks the organic breathability and natural insulation of real wool. This pick is for drivers seeking a low-maintenance, durable wrap that adds a pop of color and physical relief to their hands.
The OGLAND Black Fuzzy Sheepskin cover is designed for those who treat their steering wheel as an extension of personal comfort rather than just a functional control. Made from raw Australian Merino sheepskin, this cover brings a specific set of properties that synthetic materials simply cannot replicate. The most immediate benefit is the natural resilience of the wool, which acts as an insulator. In the dead of winter, the fluffy texture keeps your hands warm without feeling clammy, yet in the summer, the same fibers breathe well enough to keep things cool. It is not merely a layer of fur; it is a temperature-regulating barrier that responds to the environment around you.
For the driver who suffers from sweaty palms, this product addresses a very specific physiological need. The sheepskin is naturally moisture-absorbent, meaning it pulls sweat away from your skin instantly. This keeps your grip secure and dry even during intense situations or hot weather, preventing the slippery feeling that often plagues synthetic covers when humidity rises. Furthermore, the material is hypo-allergenic, making it a safe choice for sensitive skin that might react to dyes or plastics found in cheaper alternatives. The black color provides a sleek, understated look that hides dirt better than lighter shades, though the primary appeal here is the "girly" softness and the elimination of pressure points on the palms.
However, this cover is not for everyone, particularly those who demand zero maintenance or live in environments where the car is constantly exposed to harsh elements. You must respect the care instructions: do not wash this in a washing machine, and never submerge it in water, as this will cause shrinkage and ruin the texture. Instead, regular maintenance involves shaking out dust and brushing with a pet brush to keep the fluff intact. If you are looking for something that can survive a rigorous scrubbing after a muddy off-road trip or a spill, this is not the right tool. It is a premium accessory that demands a bit of attention to maintain its plush state.

The Road Comforts Car Steering Wheel cover targets a different demographic entirely: the driver who wants performance, durability, and physical relief from a modern, engineered solution. Crafted from high-quality TPE material, this cover prioritizes wear-resistance and heat resistance above all else. Unlike the delicate nature of sheepskin, this material is designed to withstand the rigors of daily use without deforming. It is easy to clean, which is a massive advantage for anyone who spills coffee, drinks soda, or deals with sticky fingers frequently. The microfiber leather finish provides a textured surface that feels substantial and grippy, ideal for those who prefer a firmer hold on the wheel.
A standout feature for this model is the built-in massage experience. The design incorporates specific contours intended to provide a gentle massage to the driver's palms while steering. This is particularly useful for long-haul drivers or anyone who spends hours behind the wheel, as it helps effectively relieve driving fatigue. The breathable design works in tandem with these massage nodes to wick away sweat, ensuring your hands stay dry even during extended periods of activity. The unique splicing design also adds a layer of fashion to the interior, available in pink and hot pink tones that allow you to personalize your vehicle's aesthetic without going too wild.
This product is best suited for drivers who want a universal fit that works on sedans, SUVs, and trucks without needing specialized tools for installation. The flexible design allows for a quick swap, making it accessible for anyone regardless of mechanical skill. However, the trade-off lies in the lack of organic insulation. While it is breathable, it does not offer the same natural thermal buffering as the sheepskin. In freezing temperatures, it may feel colder to the touch initially, and in extreme heat, it relies solely on its breathability rather than the natural cooling properties of wool. If you value a firm, sporty grip and a cover that can handle rough handling and frequent cleaning, this is the superior choice.
• Best for natural temperature regulation → OGLAND Black Fuzzy Sheepskin, due to the inherent insulating properties of Australian Merino wool that adapt to both hot and cold weather.
• Best for low-maintenance cleaning → Road Comforts Car Steering Wheel, as the TPE material is wipeable and resistant to deformation, unlike the wool which shrinks if wet.
• Best for relieving driving fatigue → Road Comforts Car Steering Wheel, thanks to the dedicated built-in massage feature designed to reduce hand strain.
• Best for moisture absorption → OGLAND Black Fuzzy Sheepskin, because the natural fibers actively pull sweat away from the skin more effectively than synthetic microfiber.
• Best for durability and wear-resistance → Road Comforts Car Steering Wheel, since the high-quality TPE is explicitly engineered to be wear-resistant and heat-resistant.
• Best for sensitive skin → OGLAND Black Fuzzy Sheepskin, given its hypo-allergenic nature and lack of synthetic dyes or plastics.
• Best for easy installation → Both products offer easy installation, but Road Comforts emphasizes flexibility for various wheel types, while OGLAND relies on elastic bond.
• Best for track days → OGLAND Black Fuzzy Sheepskin, for the superior grip security provided by moisture absorption in high-intensity driving scenarios.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the OGLAND Black Fuzzy Sheepskin for my own vehicle. While the Road Comforts option offers excellent durability and massage benefits, the natural properties of the Merino sheepskin provide a level of comfort and grip security that is unmatched by synthetic materials. For track days specifically, the ability of the wool to absorb moisture and prevent slipping is critical, offering a safety and comfort edge that a TPE cover cannot match. In my opinion, the extra care required to maintain the sheepskin is a small price to pay for the luxurious, temperature-regulating experience it delivers every time you get behind the wheel.
You should only shake out dust and brush it regularly with a pet brush.
Yes, the Road Comforts cover is designed with a breathable material that effectively wicks away sweat and keeps hands dry, though it relies on airflow rather than natural absorption like the sheepskin.
Both products are designed for easy installation without specialized tools. The OGLAND uses an elastic bond system, while the Road Comforts cover utilizes a flexible design for a quick fit on most wheels.
The OGLAND Black Fuzzy Sheepskin is superior for winter as the natural wool insulates against the cold, keeping your hands warm, whereas the Road Comforts cover may feel cooler to the touch initially.
