The holy knight
Youngest cousin to Sir Lancelot and nephew (and ward) of King Claudas of Gaul. The third in the trio of chosen knights destined to find the Grail. Bors was one of the only Knights of the Round to leave Camelot of his own volition and to ultimately survive the chaos of the fall. A gentle man who always had a kind word for anyone he spoke to, and a willingness to tell off those that needed it.
AKA: Sir Bors the Younger, Prince Bors of Gaul, King Bors the Younger of Gaul
ATTRIBUTE: Earth
ALIGNMENT: Lawful-Good
CLASS: Ruler
TRAITS: hominidae servant, humanoid, riding, round table knight, servant, seven knights servant, king, male, weak to enuma elish
PRONOUNS: He/Him
SEXUALITY: Gay
NOTE: Bors suffered an extremely traumatic encounter at the hands of Lady Claire in his tale. Due to this he suffers from gynophobia and will be coldly distant and polite to the extreme with any and all female muses save for Vivian, Sir Gareth, Artoria, and Guinevere (who gets the dubious honor of being someone he canonically dislikes).
Bors was one of the youngest knights in Camelot, only a year older than (my) Gareth. Due to this his admiration for the other KotR often wars with his more sensible view of "oh lord they're idiots".
Bors is a very religious man from a time before modern versions of Christianity. I am also not religious. Have fun.

"To you who are beloved by Heaven and guided by His angels, seek out the Holy Grail."
Bors was born the second and last child of King Bors the Elder, the ruler of the small kingdom of Gannes in the region of Gaul. This alone would have been impressive for any young prince considering Gannes and its two allied kingdoms were among the few to have never lost ground to the Roman Empire. The fact that these other kingdoms were ruled by his father's brother and his mother's brother only amplified that. But sadly fate is not kind to any who are chosen by the heavens.
Not even princes.
Years before Bors' birth his father and uncles had a tentative alliance with the still living first king of the newly established Camelot. An alliance that failed to fully carry over when that king passed and his younger brother Uther took the throne. Uther and King Claudas despised each other and, ultimately, the alliance failed thanks to Uther's actions. In a fit of tempermental pettiness, Uther had Claudas' kingdom razed to the ground without anything spared for the citizens. This, in turn, sent Claudas spiralling into madness. In his rage, the king turned on the husbands of his two younger sisters for their lands were between his and Camelot. First he turned on the lands of King Ban, father of Lancelot. The war took several years before finally the kingdom of Benoic fell. And thus Claudas turned towards his remaining perceived betrayer.
The father of the newborn Bors, King Bours the Elder.
Heartsick as the man was over the death of his brother and disappearance of his nephew, the war was less a battle...and more a swift execution. However, Queen Elaine fled alone, leaving her sons behind in the care of a single remaining knight. So it was that Bors and his older brother Lionel ended up as wards and war prizes of their own uncle.
A small blessing that Claudas' madness did not extend to his nephews, particularly Bors whom he raised with love as if his nephew were his own child. But, thanks to Lionel and the Lady of the Lake's own actions, eventually Bors was parted from his uncle to be raised by the queen of the Fae herself.
And from there, as he learned how to be a knight, Bors would end up eventually following Lancelot to Camelot where he would be chosen by God alongside Percival and Galahad to seek out the Holy Grail. Though with more than a little quite literal divine intervention and guidance on Bors' personal path.

Height/Weight: 185cm, 73kg
Origin: Legend of King Arthur
Region: Gaul (modern day France)
A holy knight who disdains battle and violence but is nevertheless skilled in combat.
His only weakness is love of his family, as Lancelot did exploit by tricking Bors to keep the affair with Guinevere a secret.
He has no wish for the Grail as he saw the true Holy Grail be returned to Heaven thanks to Galahad's actions. As a Servant he simply wishes to give aid and guidance to his Master and allies.
Despite it all he harbors a deep fondness and admiration for King Arthur and seeks their forgiveness for his leaving Camelot...and warring against them on behalf of Lancelot's deception.

The vision of the Holy Grail set Camelot astir like a stone dropped in a mill pond.
Of all the Knights of the Round present for the vision, Bors was among the three chosen by Heaven to seek the sacred relic. And so he set out on his journey, alone as were his companions Percival and Galahad. They were to meet up and journey together only once they reached a specific place in their quest. Thus the young Knight was alone.
A quest that should have been fairly peaceful, even by the standards of Knights in that era, was soon interrupted, however.
Upon a road somewhere in the wilderness a terrible sight greeted Bors. His brother bound in chains and set upon the back of a donkey being led by bandits who struck Lionel repeatedly with whips made of bramble thorns. Bors readied himself to give chase, only for an equally terrible sight to appear on the other path of the crossroads. A maiden being captured by a fiendish brute, to suffer the same evils Bors himself had been made to endure. The choice was cruel, but in the end Bors forced himself to give chase after the innocent maiden to save her, reasoning that Lionel would survive long enough for Bors to find him again. However...
When he returned to the crossroads his brother was nowhere to be found, only blood staining the dirt of the road.
Grieving his brother terribly, Bors rode on ahead to a small chapel manned only by a single hermit who offered him sanctuary and rest. There the knight wept, despite the assurances from the angels that he had chosen the correct path.
And soon came a terrible sound.
Lionel appeared in the doorway, furious and bloody but alive. Yet this was not to be a joyous reunion. Filled with rage for the perceived betrayal of Bors' choice to save a stranger than his kin, the elder brother grabbed the younger and threw him out of the chapel. Despite Bors' pleas for forgiveness, there was none to be found in Lionel's heart. A beating followed as Bors refused to draw his blade, until the hermit threw himself between the brothers only for Lionel to slay the holy man.
It was then as Bors forced himself to his feet, forcing himself to draw his blade, that the voice of God echoed in his mind:
"Stay your blade, Bors, and Believe."
So the blade was stilled and returned to its sheathe even as Lionel charged, full ready to take his brother's life... Only for his path to be cut off. A pillar of fire descended from the heavens, encircling Lionel and disallowing him to move. More divine instructions soon followed, for Bors to leave Lionel there and to hurry and meet with Percival and Galahad.
And so, reluctantly, weeping terribly, Bors did so.
It was only once he was far from Lionel's reach that the flames dissipated, leaving not even a burn on the man.
– default verse, unlikely to be tagged due to that.
– Honkai Star Rail verse wherein Bors is the prince of the space colony Cantre'r Gwaelod that floats in orbit above their drowned world. Often he slips away from the castle to spend time with the common people in this land blessed by both Harmony and Abundance. Here he is an Imaginary Harmony unit who wields both a spear and a sword as he does normally.
