Privacy Policy for Offline AI Translator

Aslam Studio ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Offline AI Translator mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.
Overview
The App is designed to work primarily offline. Most features — including translation, notes, to-do lists, phrasebooks, calculators, and AI chat — process and store data directly on your device. We do not operate our own servers that collect or store your personal data.
Permissions and Data We Access
Camera
Used for the Camera translation feature (scanning and translating text/images) and for the Voice Commands feature (e.g., "open camera"). Images are processed on your device.
Microphone
Used for Voice input, Conversation Mode (Person A / Person B), Speaking Practice, Wake Word Activation, and Voice Commands. Audio is processed on your device to convert speech to text.
Photo Gallery
Used when you choose an image from your Gallery for translation.
Storage
Used to save Smart Notes, To-Do Lists, Shopping Lists, Favorites, History, Custom Phrasebook, Flashcards, downloaded Language Packs, and Backup files locally on your device. You may Export Data, Backup, Restore Backup, or Clear All Data at any time from within the App.
PIN / App Lock
If you set a PIN using the Change PIN feature, it is stored securely on your device only and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
PDF Files
When you open a PDF for translation, the file is read and processed locally on your device.
Advertising
We use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display ads within the App. Google may collect device identifiers, approximate location, and usage data to serve relevant ads. Please review Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) for details.
AI Chat (Offline)
The AI Chat feature runs a language model directly on your device. Your conversations with the AI Chat are not sent to our servers.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not require account creation, and we do not collect or store your personal information (name, email, contacts, etc.) on any remote server. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Data Sharing
The only third party involved is Google, through:
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — for displaying advertisements
Google ML Kit — for on-device translation and text recognition
Google Play Services — for standard app distribution and security features
Children's Privacy
Our App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Choices
You can clear all locally stored data at any time using the Clear All Data option inside the App. You can also manage or delete downloaded Language Packs using Manage Language Packs.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
