Could you specify a bit more about what you are loking for? First of all, do you have any experience with CAT and are you a professional translator? Or, do you simply want machine translation software?

...I'm becoming more and more dependant from google services (i use their calendar, their search engine, their translator, their office apps...) and i don't think this is good.

So i'm trying to regain my independence.

For the ost part I am very impressed with this device. It is much faster than the other type of translator I had previously. Translation also works well. the one problem I have had is with 2 way communication, it does not seem to pick up the other language very well? Hopefully will figure it out soon.

These earbuds surprised me on the quality and bought the package with an offline fish card. Very limited in offline translation languages so really needs done online. Provisionally tried using some recorded speech for translation and not really as good as expected but this could be more down to my improper use. The sound quality is superb as is the comfort in the ear, modified to my ear size using components included. I hesitate to give a 5 star rating until I try out properly to confirm translation performance.

These are great! I got them to translate for me on my trip to Colombia but after the trip, I use these earbuds as my everyday headphones. Also, make sure to download the offline version of the language you want to use BEFORE traveling so you can still reliably translate in an area without a signal.

If you only tap the name of the language, it will only work ONLINE. To have it downloaded for offline use, press the little down arrow to download that language. It will ask you confirm that you want to download it, press download.

Interesting blog. I have used google translate many times to read reviews for accommodation which are written in other languages. Ive found the writing option faster for me than typing. LOL. But recently i bought a new light weight iPad to take to Europe. I was able to download Italian and French but when I have tried to use them offline they do not work.
