In case the Android phone offline issue is related to bugs in Google apps, you can also try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it again, and check if the problem is solved or not. All you have to do is follow the below methods to know how to uninstall the app.

After you download an area, use the Google Maps app just like you normally would. If your internet connection is slow or absent, your offline maps will guide you to your destination as long as the entire route is within the offline map.

Offline maps that you downloaded on your phone or tablet must be updated before they expire. When your offline maps expire in 15 days or less, Google Maps tries to update the area automatically when you're connected to Wi-Fi.

I am trying to connect my Galaxy S5 to my computer running Ubuntu 14.04 so I can do some android development. I have recently downloaded and installed Android Studio and the SDK and my device is detected when it's connected via USB but the device either appears as 'unauthorized' or 'offline'. I know I should be expecting the RSA key prompt but this never appears.

ADB saves a key file in one of multiple places on a Windows computer, the first is in the location where adb.exe is (C:\android), the second is in the user's >profile (C:\Users*username*.android), the third place is in the Windows system files (C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile.android), the file is >simply named "adbkey" with no extension. If there is no key file when ADB runs, it will generate one automatically.

Mine was located in my user folder (C:\Users*username*.android). All I had to do was delete the adbkey file (there was also a file named "adbkey.pub" which >I deleted as well), restart the adb server in command prompt (adb start-server) and plug my phone in. I instantly received the RSA Fingerprint Key window on my >G3 allowing connection between the two devices. Then typing "adb devices" returned my phone's serial number followed by "device" showing it was available. >I went back to the C:\Users*username*.android\ folder and sure enought there were new "adbkey" and "adbkey.pub" files.

In my case (same problem - that Nexus 5 is connected but with "offline" status) the problem was solved by "Invalidate caches and Restart" in Android Studio.Suppose that problem was in adb and restarting Android Studio causes to adb restart.

I have nearly 50GB of music which I want access to anywhere, so I have DropBox on my phone. The phone has 64GB internal storage. I now have only 1.82GB free after making my music available offline. I have a 64GB SD card installed with 52.67GB free...how do you think that makes me feel?

I have many CDs which I have put on Proton Drive. I have saved these as available offline and want to play them using VLC, but I can't find where these are located in the file system to make them show up in VLC.

We'd like to switch to 1password for families (or teams), but I want to make sure I would still have offline access on android - I can't seem to find answer. Specifically, if there was access, what type of access - read one or multiple vaults? edit? Thanks!

More general question - is there a feature availability matrix anywhere? Something that says which features (read one vault, read multiple vaults, edit vaults, offline read, offline edit, etc) are available on which apps/clients (android app, ios app, mac app, windows app, browser)

I've got a very simple question. The discussion of premium mode says that Free Evernote is useless when offline - if I'm in airplane mode, or my cell phone provider has hiccups, or I don't want to pay data roaming fees - no Evernote for me. But the guide for new users of Android in discussing syncing strongly implies Evernote for Android is usable offline.

1) Your data are stored on Evernote's servers. They are also locally stored on any computer you have running Evernote. These locally stored files are available without a network connection. You can access all of your notes, modify notes, create new notes while offline on your computer. They will then get pushed to the cloud when you have a network connection.

2a) By default, Evernote only syncs headers on mobile devices which are stored in a local cache. When Evernote says that, on Android, it syncs every hour, it means new header information is sent to the device. The rest of the note is pulled down from the server and cached locally when you open that particular note. The effect is that even when offline you should have limited and temporary access to most of your note headers (largely useless on their own), and a selection of complete notes, typically the last few notes you have accessed and which are stored in their entirety in the cache.

2b) notes created on a mobile device while offline will be stored locally and uploaded to Evernote's servers (and subsequently to any other device you run Evernote on) when a connection is re-established. This is true for both free and premium.

3) Premium users can tell their mobile device to download some or all of their notebooks to be stored, in their entirety, locally on the device. This would be subject to the same hourly background sync (or immediate sync when the application is running). This means, for the selected notebooks (or all notebooks, depending on the setting you select), the ENTIRE note, not just the header, is stored on the device and available when offline.

If you only need offline access on your mobile device periodically, buy premium one month at a time. For $5, this isn't such a terrible thing if offline access is that important for you and you only need it for a short period of time. This is how I got started, only buying a month here or there as I travelled. (I am now a full-time premium subscriber going on 2 years).

Does anyone know if the "header information" for a note includes the title? I can't swear to this, but I think that regardless of my connection status, all my notes are listed all the time. And this would mean that Reminders (at least the title) would basically work offline - they would always be visible, and any added or deleted or reordered while offline would get synced to the server when you again connect. Maybe notifications from Reminders wouldn't work while offline though.

Yes, header includes title, an image thumbnail/first line of text, location data, date created/updated, and tags. Yes, reminders - the title at least - should likely "work" offline insofar as you will get notifications, notification are "local" and not from a push server so long as the reminder was previously synced to your device before going offline. e24fc04721
