As an only child, Leon wasn't the best at considering others. He looked out only for himself and as a result would unfortunately push people away unknowingly. When acting as a teaching assistant during a school trip, an accident occurred that he could have prevented which claimed his life and that of two dozen innocents, as punishment he was sent to Hell to repent against his selfishness.
Despite being a timid person pre-death, the reminder of his own mortality has forced Leon to grow into a protective, caring 'black' soul. This newfound caring side has it's demonic twists but every failure is a learning experience. He's been a denizen of Hell for quite some time, yet every day still feels brand new, and while the other demons he comes into contact with in may or may not be 'savable' he will try with every inch of his demonic soul to make their eternal stay in Hell, the most pleasant years of their afterlife.

Mood Balancing; Leon can share part of his empathy by projecting a small aura around him, made up of calming or aggressive energies that can either balance out or heighten those inside his sphere of influence. This power can be used at multiple levels, but any group larger than two or three people will leave Leon in a vulnerable weakened state for a prolonged period of time.
