OfficeForge is developed and published by Trefnio.
This Privacy Notice explains how OfficeForge handles information when you use the app.
OfficeForge is designed to be local-first. You do not need to create an OfficeForge or Trefnio account to open, create, edit or save your files.
OfficeForge can open, create and edit files including DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, CSV, TXT, Markdown, JSON and XML files.
Files you open or create are processed locally on your device.
Trefnio does not receive, read, upload or store the contents of your documents, spreadsheets or presentations on Trefnio servers.
If you choose to share a file using Android's sharing features, the file is provided to the app or service you select. The privacy practices of that third-party service will then apply.
If you open a PDF through OfficeForge and choose to use PDFForge, the PDF may be passed locally to the PDFForge app installed on your device.
OfficeForge may create temporary local recovery copies of files while you are editing them.
These recovery files are stored on your device and are used to help restore unsaved work if OfficeForge closes unexpectedly.
Recovery copies can be removed when you save or discard your changes and may also be removed when OfficeForge's app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled.
Recovery files are not uploaded to Trefnio.
OfficeForge may store information locally on your device to provide features such as recent files, pinned files, app preferences, Pro status and recovery information.
This information remains within OfficeForge's local application storage unless otherwise stated in this notice.
The free version of OfficeForge displays banner advertisements on certain non-editing screens.
OfficeForge uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads to provide advertising.
Google may process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, app interaction information, diagnostic information and other data necessary to provide, secure and measure advertisements.
Depending on your location, consent choices and device settings, advertisements may be personalised or non-personalised.
OfficeForge uses Google's consent tools where applicable to allow users to manage advertising and privacy choices.
Document, spreadsheet and presentation editing screens are designed to remain free from banner advertisements.

OfficeForge Pro is available as an optional one-time purchase.
Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing.
Trefnio does not receive or store your payment card number or other full payment details. Payment processing is handled by Google Play.
OfficeForge may receive information from Google Play confirming whether a valid OfficeForge Pro purchase is associated with your Google Play account. This is used to unlock Pro features such as removing advertisements and restoring previous purchases.
Google's privacy policy applies to information processed by Google Play.
OfficeForge does not require you to create a Trefnio account.
There is no mandatory OfficeForge login, Microsoft account or Trefnio cloud account required to use the app's core file features.
OfficeForge does not automatically upload your files to Trefnio cloud storage.
If you choose a file from a third-party cloud storage provider through Android's system file picker, that provider may process the file according to its own privacy policy.
OfficeForge only receives the access necessary to open or save the file you selected.
OfficeForge may request access to files that you specifically select through Android's file picker.
It may also use Android functionality necessary for opening files, saving files, sharing files and communicating with supported apps.
OfficeForge does not scan your entire device storage without your action.
Files and recovery information stored by OfficeForge locally remain on your device until they are deleted, replaced, cleared or removed as part of normal app operation.
You can remove OfficeForge's locally stored data by clearing the app's storage through Android settings or uninstalling the app.
Information processed independently by Google, including advertising and purchase information, is retained according to Google's own policies.
OfficeForge is a general productivity application and is not specifically designed for children.
Trefnio does not knowingly operate an account system that collects personal information from children through OfficeForge.
Advertising services may apply additional protections depending on the user's age, region and Google Play requirements.
OfficeForge is designed to minimise unnecessary data collection by keeping document processing and working files on the user's device wherever possible.
However, no software or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Users should take appropriate steps to protect sensitive documents stored on their devices.
OfficeForge currently uses services provided by Google, including Google Play, Google Play Billing, Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google's advertising consent services.
These services may process data independently under Google's terms and privacy policies.
This Privacy Notice may be updated if OfficeForge gains new features, changes how information is handled, or if legal or platform requirements change.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
