Hi, my name is Lee Witt and I am very excited to be returning to Oak Forest for my 2nd year of teaching. I graduated from the University of Houston in 2019 and was soon given a wonderful opportunity to stay in town and teach in such a welcoming community with such amazing students. I loved seeing my students grow and come to appreciate the world around them through the eyes of math and wish to continue teaching incoming students how to love learning and become lifelong scholars.
I am originally from San Antonio but moved here in 2015 to attend U of H. In my 5 years in Houston, I have met wonderful people who have given me a place to call home and am happy to continue calling this city my home. These days I live at home with my two beloved kittens, Suika and Nashi and frequently look for ways to enjoy my hobbies. Whether I’m enjoying a night in with a new board game, enjoying a night in watching anime, brushing up on my love of history, or practicing my newfound hobby of calligraphy, I try to enjoy all I can with the community I’ve come to call a family.
While the start to this year may have gone much differently than anyone could have expected, I am honored to be given the chance to learn alongside all of my students this year. I look forward to facing what lies ahead together!
