The purpose of the following website is to provide structure and curriculum to the computer workshops and classes for the Waltham Council on Aging members on a variety of specific and valuable topics. The goal is to use technology, not as an end in itself, but to assist seniors with tools that can help them save money and time, as well as increase their physical and mental health and enrich their lives. We will be using the available computers and software in the Waltham Council on Aging Center provided to perform the sessions, however, members can always visit or revisit the learning material that will continuously be updated and enhanced.
The way the workshops or training classes operate is by browsing this website and following the instructions contained in the pages within it. The instructions may be in written form, they may be audio clips, or they may be video clips. It's best to use Google Chrome (the use of which is taught by clicking here) and placing those instructions in a separate browser tab. That way, you can easily jump back and forth between instructions and the workshop.
Each workshop topic will have its own top-level menu, such as
Money and Time
Memories
Health
Communication
Creative Shopping
Family Tree
You work your way through each topic by sequentially visiting each page under each workshop topic top-level menu.
