National and International Bodies Influencing Policy

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - The United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change.
The UK Committee on Climate Change - The Committee on Climate Change (CCC) is an independent, statutory body established under the Climate Change Act 2008.. Its purpose is to advise the UK and devolved governments on emissions targets and to report to Parliament on progress made in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preparing for and adapting to the impacts of climate change.
The European Environment Agency - The European Environment Agency (EEA) is an agency of the European Union, whose task is to provide sound, independent information on the environment.

International Energy Agency (IEA) - An international organisation providing authoritative statistics and analysis and examining the full spectrum of energy issues, advocating policies that will enhance the reliability, affordability and sustainability of energy in its 30 members countries and beyond.

Camberley U3A Environment and Energy Group This group has its own website. It's aim is for Group members discuss and analyse subjects such as energy generation and storage, travel and transportation, climate change, pollution, use of plastics and related topics as well as considering the actions that individuals and communities can take.
