Pam/Clive to advertise the Odiham Parish greening initiative SLIDE
The greening campaign launch will be on October 8th at Mayhill School from 11am to 2pm. It will be a drop in event, with eight stalls in the school hall, each championing one of the eight actions that have been chosen. Odiham U3A climate change group will be championing ‘Turn your thermostat down by one degree’ and we will have a stall with information on that. Roger and Ian know more about the stall. We hope the launch will be attended by lots of people.
There will also be three presentations. Angela introducing the event, us with a skit for turn your thermostat down, and the Beavers on ‘Go vegetarian one day a week. The demonstrations will take place at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
The idea is to get as many people as possible to take part in the greening campaign, initially by putting one of the cards in their window for a week from October 31 to November 7th. These will be counted to see how much uptake there has been in Odiham and North Warnborough.
This is a low tech operation aimed at raising awareness on how small actions can lower carbon footprints and save money. Come and support us.
