If you want superior audio fidelity, a premium aluminum build, and seamless app integration for mobile gaming, choose ODDICT Phiaton TWIG True; if you need rugged sports durability, extended battery life, and secure ear hooks for high-intensity workouts, choose HAOYUYAN Earbuds. These two devices solve completely different problems for the modern listener, and picking the wrong one means ending up with a pair of earbuds that feel like an afterthought during your favorite activity.
• ODDICT Phiaton TWIG True: Delivers crisp sound via dual 12mm carbon drivers and features a sleek aluminum design with an EQ app, but offers only IPX4 resistance and a shorter total battery life of 12 hours.
• HAOYUYAN Earbuds: Boasts massive 80-hour playtime, IPX7 waterproofing, and secure hook-style ear grips, yet relies on plastic construction and basic button controls rather than touch interfaces.
• Who it's for: The ODDICT pick is for the audiophile gamer or commuter who values sound quality and style over extreme weather protection, while the HAOYUYAN pick is built for the athlete who needs their gear to survive sweat, rain, and long training sessions without charging anxiety.
The ODDICT Phiaton TWIG True Wireless Earbuds are engineered for those who prioritize the listening experience above all else. At the heart of this device lies a pair of dual 12mm carbon drivers, which the manufacturer specifies deliver a faster, more stable connection alongside crystal-clear sound. This isn't just about volume; it's about clarity. Whether you are navigating a complex game map or trying to distinguish subtle instrument layers in a track, the frequency response range of 20 Hz to 20 KHz ensures you aren't missing anything. The impedance of 32 ohms suggests a balanced load that drives these dynamic drivers effectively without requiring a powerhouse amplifier.
For the mobile gamer specifically, the design philosophy here leans heavily into immersion and stability. The open ear design combined with custom silicone ear tip jackets aims to provide a fit that stays put while allowing enough ambient awareness to keep you safe in public spaces. The aluminum gray enclosure gives the device a luxurious, unique look that stands out from the sea of generic black plastic earbuds. Furthermore, the inclusion of an EQ app allows you to personalize your sound profile, giving you control over the bass, mids, and treble to suit your specific genre preferences. This level of customization is rare in budget-friendly true wireless options.

However, this product demands you make some trade-offs regarding endurance and environmental toughness. With a total playback time of up to 12 hours (including three full charges from the case), it falls short of marathon listeners who go days between charges. The IPX4 rating protects against sweat and light rain, which is sufficient for a gym session or a commute, but it would struggle in a heavy downpour or a swim. If your primary use case involves intense physical exertion where water resistance is critical, or if you frequently forget to charge your case overnight, the ODDICT TWIG might leave you wanting more power. It is best suited for users who value premium materials and audio precision over rugged utility.
In stark contrast, the HAOYUYAN BX17 Wireless Earbuds are built from the ground up for movement. The defining feature here is the elastic, soft ear hook design paired with three-sized ear tips. This combination creates a locking mechanism that keeps the earbuds securely in place regardless of how vigorous your workout becomes. Unlike the ODDICT model which sits relatively flush, the HAOYUYAN design wraps around the ear, making it the ideal choice for running, jumping jacks, or any activity where gravity and sweat could otherwise dislodge standard buds. The plastic enclosure, while less premium-feeling than aluminum, serves a functional purpose: it is lightweight and durable enough to take a beating.
Battery life is where this unit truly shines, offering a staggering 80 hours of total playtime. The case itself provides eight full recharges, meaning you can likely go weeks without plugging the case into a wall. Even on a single charge, you get 15 hours of continuous use, which is double the duration of the ODDICT TWIG. For the athlete or the student who studies for long stretches, this eliminates the "low battery" panic entirely. The LED power display on the case adds a layer of convenience, showing you exactly how much juice is left before you even pop the lid open. Additionally, the Hall switch technology enables automatic pairing, so the moment you open the case, you are connected to your device without fumbling through menus.
The audio experience on the HAOYUYAN focuses on punchy bass and clear calls in noisy environments rather than nuanced hi-fi reproduction. The 14.3mm drivers are larger than the ODDICT's 12mm units, and they work in tandem with ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) technology to minimize sound leakage and ambient noise. This makes them excellent for taking calls at the gym or focusing on a podcast while commuting. However, the reliance on physical button controls rather than touch sensors can be a minor friction point for some users. You lose the ability to swipe or tap to adjust volume, opting instead for push-button navigation. While this might seem less modern, it actually prevents accidental inputs when adjusting the ear hooks during a run.
• Best for Mobile Gaming Audio Fidelity → ODDICT Phiaton TWIG True, thanks to its dual 12mm carbon drivers and 20KHz frequency response that captures every detail.
• Best for Long-Duration Battery Life → HAOYUYAN Earbuds, offering 80 hours of total playtime compared to the ODDICT's 12 hours.
• Best for Heavy Rain or Sweat Resistance → HAOYUYAN Earbuds, with an IPX7 waterproof rating that withstands submersion and heavy splashes versus the ODDICT's IPX4.
• Best for Secure Fit During Intense Exercise → HAOYUYAN Earbuds, utilizing elastic ear hooks that lock the device in place better than the standard in-ear fit of the ODDICT.
• Best for Sound Customization → ODDICT Phiaton TWIG True, as it includes an EQ app for personalized audio tuning, whereas HAOYUYAN relies on fixed hardware tuning.
• Best for Premium Build Aesthetics → ODDICT Phiaton TWIG True, featuring an aluminum exterior and cylindrical design that feels more luxurious than the plastic construction of the HAOYUYAN.
• Best for Quick Reconnection → HAOYUYAN Earbuds, utilizing Hall switch technology for instant pairing upon opening the case, though ODDICT also supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
• Best for Fast Charging Convenience → Both offer quick charging, but ODDICT specifies a 10-minute charge yields 1 hour of playback, while HAOYUYAN emphasizes its Type-C fast-charging case capabilities.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I recommend the ODDICT Phiaton TWIG True for anyone prioritizing mobile gaming and daily commutes where sound quality is paramount. The dual carbon drivers and aluminum build provide a listening experience that feels significantly more refined than the competition. However, if your lifestyle revolves around outdoor sports or you simply cannot remember to charge your devices often, the HAOYUYAN Earbuds are the safer bet. Ultimately, I would buy the ODDICT TWIG for my own gaming setup because the clarity of the sound and the customizable EQ app directly enhance the immersion of the games I play, making the trade-off in battery life worth it for the audio performance.
While the ODDICT Phiaton TWIG True offers an open ear design that naturally allows for better ambient awareness than fully sealed in-ear models, neither product explicitly advertises a dedicated "transparency mode" feature in their data sheets. Their suitability depends on how much passive isolation you prefer versus how much outside noise you need to hear while gaming.
Neither the ODDICT Phiaton TWIG True nor the HAOYUYAN Earbuds feature rotatable ear cups, as both are true wireless in-ear designs. Rotating cups are a feature typically found in over-ear wired or wireless headsets, not compact TWS earbuds designed for portability.
Neither of these products uses bone conduction technology; both utilize dynamic drivers (12mm for ODDICT, 14.3mm for HAOYUYAN) to transmit sound directly into the ear canal. Bone conduction headphones sit outside the ear and vibrate the cheekbones, a fundamentally different technology not present in either of these models.
