App Name: Offline OCR & Voice Translator
Offline OCR & Voice Translator (“the App”) helps users translate text using:
OCR (image to text)
Text-to-text translation
Voice-to-text translation
Optional Text-to-Speech playback (if enabled)
We respect your privacy and aim to collect the minimum data necessary. The App is designed to work offline after one-time language model downloads.
A) Data you provide
The App may process:
Text you type into the App
Images you select or capture for OCR
Voice input when you use voice translation
Important: The App does not require you to create an account.
B) Data we may collect automatically
Depending on features enabled (e.g., ads), the App may collect limited technical data such as:
Device information (model, OS version)
App performance and crash logs
Advertising identifiers (only if ads are enabled)
We use data only to:
Extract text from images (OCR)
Convert speech to text (voice input)
Translate your content
Download offline language models (one time / as needed)
Improve stability (crash/performance diagnostics)
We do not sell your personal data.
The App is built for offline use:
OCR, translation, and voice features are intended to run on-device after models are downloaded.
Your images, voice, and text are processed locally where possible.
Model Downloads: When you download language models, the App uses the internet only to fetch the model files.
If any feature in your build sends data to a server (for example, a cloud speech engine), you must disclose it here. If your app is truly offline after models, this section is correct as-is.
By default, the App does not store your images, recognized text, or translations on our servers.
Temporary processing files may exist on your device during OCR/translation.
If you use “History” or “Save” features (if implemented), your saved data remains on your device.
You can clear your data by:
Using the App’s “Clear” functions (if available), and/or
Clearing App storage from Android settings.
The App may request the following permissions:
Camera (optional): to capture images for OCR
Microphone (optional): to record voice for speech-to-text translation
Storage / Media access (optional): to select images from your gallery
Internet: only for downloading language models, updates, and/or ads (if enabled)
You can deny permissions; the related feature may not work.
If the App shows ads (for example using Google Mobile Ads / AdMob), ad networks may collect data such as:
Advertising ID
Approximate location (derived from IP, depending on ad configuration)
Ad interaction events
You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings:
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → (Reset/Opt out options)
If you do NOT show ads, remove this section completely.
If we enable analytics/crash tools (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics), they may collect:
Crash logs
Device/app version
Diagnostic performance information
This helps us fix bugs and improve reliability.
If you do NOT use analytics/crash tools, remove this section.
The App may use third-party services for:
Ads (if enabled)
Crash reporting / analytics (if enabled)
These services may process data under their own privacy policies.

Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. We recommend keeping your device protected with a lock screen and updated OS.
You can:
Use the App without creating an account
Deny camera/microphone permissions
Clear app data from device settings
Disable personalized ads (if applicable)
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
