OCDone Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 19, 2026
OCDone ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the OCDone mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication purposes. We use a one-time password (OTP) verification system to keep your account secure.
1.2 Health and Wellness Data
To provide our core features, we collect the following self-reported data that you voluntarily enter:
Daily mood check-ins (mood rating, anxiety level on a 1-10 scale)
Self-identified triggers (e.g., "morning routine", "work stress")
Personal notes added to check-ins
Journal entries (free-text reflections and selected mood)
Session completion data (breathing exercises, grounding exercises)
This data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not transmit your mood, anxiety, journal, or check-in data to external servers unless you explicitly use cloud-synced features in the future.
1.3 Community Data
If you subscribe to the OCDone Community, your anonymously posted content (posts and replies) is stored in our secure database. Your posts are attributed to an anonymous display name — your real identity, email, and account details are never visible to other community members.
1.4 Payment Information
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect, store, or have access to your full credit card number, debit card number, or bank account details. Stripe handles all payment processing in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status, billing period, and plan details from Stripe.
1.5 Device and Usage Data
We may collect basic device information (device type, operating system version) and anonymous usage analytics to improve app performance. We do not use tracking pixels, third-party advertising SDKs, or sell any data to advertisers.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide and maintain the OCDone app features (check-ins, exercises, journaling)
To authenticate your account and maintain your session
To process subscription payments through Stripe
To display your anonymous posts in the community (subscribers only)
To calculate streaks, progress statistics, and mood history for your personal use
To improve app performance and user experience
3. Data Storage and Security
Personal wellness data (mood, anxiety levels, journal entries, check-in history) is stored locally on your device. Community posts and replies are stored in our secured cloud database with Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only modify their own content. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL. Authentication is handled through industry-standard protocols.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
Stripe: Payment processing only (subscription status and billing)
Community members: Only your anonymous display name and post content (never your email, real name, or account details)
Legal obligations: If required by law, court order, or governmental regulation
5. Your Rights and Choices
Access: View all your stored data within the app (check-ins, journals, progress)
Deletion: Use "Reset App Data" in Settings to permanently delete all local data
Account deletion: Contact us to request complete account deletion
Subscription: Manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the app or Stripe customer portal
Opt out: You can use OCDone without creating an account or subscribing to the community
6. Children's Privacy
OCDone is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, providing notice within the app.
