Sarah Spencer

At Sarah’s fingertips is a never-ending rolodex of quirky, but true Outer Banks history, real people connections (contacts who are either knowledgeable about specific subjects or service vendors who shine in their chosen trade) and experiences in real estate that include all those “that’ll never happen” scenarios, but it did and does…  Her insatiable desire for people around her to succeed has manifested into a culture of serving others way beyond just the real estate transaction. It’s readily apparent in how she leads her Team and in turn, how her Team serves the community and others.

Sarah was introduced at an early age to what would become her life-long love of real estate. Her father was a custom builder in the Richmond, Va area and taught her the ins and outs of an ever-changing market that, shortly after graduation from James Madison University, would land her on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Launching her investment/vacation real estate career in 1998 in the quaint village of Duck - a charming, once hidden gem of a vacation destination spot on the northern banks - she wasted no time expanding her reach throughout all the towns and villages that comprise the Outer Banks. Sarah was named Broker in Charge of her Corolla office and quickly distinguished herself as one of the area’s top brokers. And while she considers herself a “pretty good” real estate agent, what she also discovered during those early years would come to mean much more to her - a blooming passion for collaborating, training, and helping others in the real estate business to flourish and succeed!

Determined to shower more attention and provide even more value to both her clients and fellow brokers and agents, Sarah, along with her longtime business partner, ushered in Keller Williams Outer Banks at The Marketplace in Southern Shores. While transitioning into this new and exciting venture, Sarah continued to mold and craft her own business, handpicking select professionals with mindsets that matched her own - the desire to go BEYOND THE SALE!

Her ability to guide and streamline the talents of her growing team of professionals has allowed her the opportunity to venture out and follow yet another passion - the luxury market - as an investment and second-home consulting broker. Introducing the “Signature Collection” platform compiles her 25 years of tried-and-true experiences allowing her to soundly advise and assist clients in improving bottom-line profitability. She often serves on advisory boards, podcasts, and masterminds to bring creative solutions to her Keller Williams family and to The Spencer Team’s clients.

Our resident “OBX nerd”, history lover and non-stop learner is always prepared for a challenge and enthusiastically meets each one head-on. Sarah embraces her talent for gathering details and studying probable outcomes, then presents those findings to help her team, co-brokers, and clients move forward with a new-found confidence and a winning mind-set. She does all of this with a nonstop drive and passion for life, openly giving to others with a ready smile and a calm and practical nature with lots of laughs in between.

When not firmly entrenched in real estate, she can be found “gorging on life.” Experiencing the wonders of life with her family, on and off the Outer Banks, is paramount to her ultimate happiness! She’s got three beautiful girls (including a set of twins) blessed with burgeoning, magnetic personalities and they can often be found enjoying delicious foods (prepared by themselves or others),  reading, spending time on the water, or wogging (walk jogging) while they plan their next adventure! (And yes, you’ll catch glimpses of their infectious smiles and personalities in many of our Team videos, too.)
