Since joining the Team as a buyer specialist in early March of this year, we’ve learned that Brad’s forever searching out new angles to move his clients Beyond the Sale, but he does it so stealthily, none of us have yet figured out his exact MO. He’s thoughtful, quiet and attentive, but also can land a zinger at lightning speed. We know he hates shoes (has dreams of aspiring to be The Barefoot Broker) and he’s scared of alligators, even fake ones strategically adorning pond areas.
It was during Brad’s parents’ first vacation to the Outer Banks in the late 80s that they fell in love with the beaches and close-knit community, purchased a lot before the trip was over, and a couple years later permanently relocated their family here. So Brad grew up as an Outer Banker, loving the outdoors and you guessed it, surfing and golfing.
After a two-year stint in Boston as a Golf Professional, he moved on to California as a Caddie where his passion for surfing and everything outdoors was rekindled. Eight years later, the Outer Banks called him back home (or maybe his newborn whispered it in his ear) to raise his family.
Prior to leaping into the real estate business, though, Brad spent the next 10 years as an owner/manager of a surf retail business. Chances are you’ve seen him out and about. And while he says it was always rewarding helping people find the perfect surfboard, “it pales in comparison to helping families find their dream home.”
When not out searching for that dream home for a client, you’ll usually find Brad out on the water or on the golf course with his two boys (we’re pretty sure the just-turned teen won the last round) or simply enjoying a breathtaking Outer Banks sunset with family and friends.
Please say Hello to Brad!
