Federal law (5 U.S.C. 6103) establishes the public holidays listed in these pages for Federal employees. Please note that most Federal employees work on a Monday through Friday schedule. For these employees, when a holiday falls on a nonworkday -- Saturday or Sunday -- the holiday usually is observed on Monday (if the holiday falls on Sunday) or Friday (if the holiday falls on Saturday).

This year, the Inauguration Day holiday falls on Monday, January 21, 2013, which is also the legal public holiday for the Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. (See 5 U.S.C. 6103(c).) For Federal employees who work in the District of Columbia, Montgomery or Prince George's Counties in Maryland, Arlington or Fairfax Counties in Virginia, or the cities of Alexandria or Fairfax in Virginia, Inauguration Day is observed concurrently with the Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday. Federal employees in these areas are not entitled to an in-lieu-of holiday for Inauguration Day.

Directly observed therapy (DOT) for tuberculosis treatment involves observing a patient ingest medication, monitoring the patient for adverse events, and providing support for treatment completion. DOT has typically been conducted in person; however, scheduling in-person DOT can present logistical challenges.

This update of CDC recommendations is based on evidence that vDOT is associated with a higher proportion of medication doses being observed and similar rates of TB treatment completion and microbiologic resolution when compared with in-person DOT. These data, combined with research that has demonstrated vDOT can conserve time and costs for patients and programs (13,14), improve patient satisfaction with DOT (14), and provide opportunities to monitor adherence when in-person DOT is not feasible (5), highlight the utility of vDOT to sustain patient care and treatment.

If a holiday falls on a Saturday, it is observed the preceding Friday. If it falls on a Sunday, it is observed the following Monday. (This day change does not apply to medical center classified employees who work schedules that normally include holidays as part of 24 hours a day, seven days a week staffing or work in a clinic that is open on weekends.)

Methods: We conducted an observational study using population health administrative data from the BC COVID-19 Cohort from Dec. 15, 2020, to Mar. 10, 2022. The primary exposure was any dose of an mRNA vaccine against SARS-CoV-2. The primary outcome was incidence of hospital admission or emergency department visit for myocarditis or myopericarditis within 7 and 21 days postvaccination, calculated as myocarditis rates per 100 000 mRNA vaccine doses, expected rates of myocarditis cases and observedto-expected ratios. We stratified analyses by age, sex, vaccine type and dose number.

Results: We observed 99 incident cases of myocarditis within 7 days (0.97 cases per 100 000 vaccine doses; observed v. expected ratio 14.81, 95% confidence interval [CI] 10.83-16.55) and 141 cases within 21 days (1.37 cases per 100 000 vaccine doses; observed v. expected ratio 7.03, 95% CI 5.92-8.29) postvaccination. Cases of myocarditis per 100 000 vaccine doses were higher for people aged 12-17 years (2.64, 95% CI 1.54-4.22) and 18-29 years (2.63, 95% CI 1.94-3.50) than for older age groups, for males compared with females (1.64, 95% CI 1.30-2.04 v. 0.35, 95% CI 0.21-0.55), for those receiving a second dose compared with a third dose (1.90, 95% CI 1.50-2.39 v. 0.76, 95% CI 0.45-1.30) and for those who received the mRNA-1273 (Moderna) vaccine compared with the BNT162b2 (Pfizer-BioNTech) vaccine (1.44, 95% CI 1.06-1.91 v. 0.74, 95% CI 0.56-0.98). The highest observed-to-expected ratio was seen after the second dose among males aged 18-29 years who received the mRNA-1273 vaccine (148.32, 95% CI 95.03-220.69).

Background: For tuberculosis treatment, policies have been introduced to encourage adherence to treatment regimens. One such policy is directly observed therapy (DOT), which involves people directly observing patients taking their antituberculous drugs.

Objectives: Dementia is a major and growing health problem. Diagnosis is an important step in the access to care, but many dementia patients remain undiagnosed. This study investigated the magnitude and variation in the difference between 'observed' and 'estimated' prevalence of dementia in general practices. We also explored practice characteristics associated with observed prevalence rates.

Results: The average observed prevalence overall of dementia amongst patients 65 years and over was 3.0% [95CI 2.8, 3.2]. The observed prevalence was 54.5% [95CI 49.2, 58.9] lower than the prevalence observed in the epidemiological studies in the UK. For an average size general practice (list size of 5269 patients) approximately 27 [95CI 22, 32] patients with dementia may remain undiagnosed. Statistically significant differences in prevalence rates were found between the different PCTs (Wald chi-square = 103.8 p < 0.001). The observed prevalence of dementia was significantly lower among practices run by one GP compared to multiple GPs (p = 0.003), and in more affluent areas (p < 0.001).

Observed data are entered into the Unsteady Flow Data editor from the Observed Data tab. This option allows the user to enter data in the form of observed time series data, high water marks, or an observed rating curves at a gage. When an observed time series is attached to a specific river station location, the user can get a plot of the observed flow or stage hydrograph on the same plot as the computed flow and stage hydrographs. Additionally the observed data will show up on profile and cross section plots. If high water marks are entered, they will show up on the cross section and profile plots when the Max Water Surface profile is being plotted. If an observed Rating curve from a gage is entered it will appear on the rating curve plot for comparison to the computed stage verses flow values.

To enter Observed High Water Marks into HEC-RAS, select the Edit within the Observed Stages area, then select the Constant values as the data source. The editor will like what is shown in Figure 7-12

The observed conversions are divided into subgroups based on shared characteristics, and key metrics are calculated for each. For example, conversions observed in the morning in France are found to have a certain conversion rate, whereas this rate may be different in the evening.

Using the known conversion rates and other characteristics from the observed subgroups, machine learning links unobserved ad interactions and conversions, where appropriate. The observed and modeled conversions are then integrated into your conversion data to help you make informed decisions about ad performance reporting, and fed into bidding to provide an unbiased view of your performance. This leads to better optimization.

In practice, calculations from observed data are based on a variety of dimensions, including location, time, and browser. These are combined with data from platform APIs, surveys and user panels to further refine modeling.

The Rubbish / Recycle collection schedule will not change for any other holidays, even if the City Hall is not open to the public. If the observed holiday falls on a weekday, there will be no collection that day and the remaining days of collection will be one day later than normal. For example, if the holiday is on a Monday, the weekly rubbish / recycling collection will begin on Tuesday and finish on Saturday. Therefore if your collection day is normally Tuesday, for that week it will be collected on Wednesday. If one of these holidays falls on a Sunday, it is typically observed the next day, Monday, resulting in a one day delayed Holiday collection schedule. There is no collection on Thanksgiving so the trash normally collected on Thursdays will be collected on Friday, Friday's routes will subsequently be collected on Saturday.

The university provides 14 paid holidays a year, listed below. To find the dates that they will be observed this year, see the payroll calendar. A holiday that falls on Saturday is typically observed on the preceding Friday; a holiday that falls on Sunday is typically observed on the following Monday.

Rapid7 services teams have so far confirmed indicators of compromise and data exfiltration dating back to at least May 27 and May 28, 2023 (respectively). Our teams have observed the same webshell name in multiple customer environments, which may indicate automated exploitation.

Rapid7 analyzed a sample webshell payload associated with successful exploitation. The webshell code would first determine if the inbound request contained a header named X-siLock-Comment, and would return a 404 "Not Found" error if the header was not populated with a specific password-like value.
