This privacy policy applies to the Obit app, operated by greenbeen ("Service Provider").

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

Obit is designed with a "Local-First" approach. Your screen time data, app usage logs, and configuration settings are stored exclusively on your device. We do not transmit your usage behavior, screen time statistics, or personal app activities to our servers. Obit is completely ad-free; we do not display any third-party advertisements or track you for marketing purposes.

2. Data Collection and Usage

• User Provided Data: If you sign up or log in, we store your email address on Firebase to facilitate account management.

• Payment and Subscription Data: If you choose to purchase a premium subscription, your payments are securely processed by third-party services (such as Google Play Billing and RevenueCat). The Service Provider does not collect, process, or store your credit card details or personal billing information.

• Automatically Collected Data: We do not track your real-time locations, browsing history, or personal identifiers.

• Diagnostics and Log Data (Future Implementation): We currently do not collect technical log data. However, to maintain the future stability and performance of the app, we plan to integrate diagnostic tools (such as Firebase Crashlytics). When implemented, this will automatically collect anonymous technical information only when an error or crash occurs. This data may include:

  • Device Internet Protocol (IP) address (anonymized).

  • Device name, hardware model, and operating system version.

  • The internal configuration of the Obit app at the exact time of the error.

  • Time, date, and technical stack traces of the crash.

  • Note: This data contains no personal information and cannot be used to identify you.

3. Core Device Permissions and Accessibility

To provide its core functionality, Obit requires specific device permissions. None of the data accessed through these permissions is transmitted outside your device or shared with third parties.

• Accessibility Service API: Used to monitor which application is currently in the foreground to apply your blocking rules. It is not used to read, collect, or transmit sensitive personal data or screen content.

• App Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): Used to calculate daily screen time and monitor how long you use specific applications locally.

• Query All Packages (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES): Used to retrieve the list of installed applications on your device, allowing you to select apps to block or limit.

• Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Used to display the Obit blocking screen over an application when your screen time limit is reached.

• Location Data (Not Used): Obit currently does not request, access, or use your device's location data (GPS or Geofencing). If location-based blocking features are added in the future, this policy will be updated, and your explicit consent will be required.

4. Third-Party Services

The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policies.

5. Children's Privacy

Obit is intended for use by individuals of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us.

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion

• Email Data: Retained as long as you maintain an account with us. You can delete your account directly within the application settings. Alternatively, you can submit an account and data deletion request externally by contacting us via email at obitscreentime@gmail.com or pages sites.google.com/view/obitdelete/ . Upon request, your account and associated email data will be permanently deleted from our servers.

• App Usage Logs: Stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the application will automatically remove all locally stored logs.

7. Your Rights

8. Disclaimer and Legal

• No Warranty: The Application is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The Service Provider makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the application or the information, content, or materials included therein. You expressly agree that your use of the application is at your sole risk.

• Governing Law: This Privacy Policy and any disputes related to it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Indonesia. Any legal action or proceeding arising under this Policy will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Indonesia.

• Changes: We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the application or via email.
