OBD Car Scanner is a vehicle diagnostic application designed to connect to compatible OBD-II / ELM327 devices and display diagnostic information from the user's vehicle.
Information and Permissions
Bluetooth:
The application uses Bluetooth permissions to discover/access paired compatible OBD-II / ELM327 devices and communicate with the selected device. Bluetooth access is used only for the application's vehicle diagnostic functions.
Vehicle Diagnostic Data:
The application may read information provided by the vehicle through the connected OBD-II adapter, including engine RPM, vehicle speed, coolant temperature, voltage, engine load, throttle position, diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), and other supported diagnostic parameters.
This diagnostic information is processed to provide the application's features. OBD Car Scanner does not independently identify the owner of the vehicle from this diagnostic information.
Advertising:
OBD Car Scanner displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may collect or process certain information, such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, and interaction information, in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable consent requirements.
Data Sharing:
We do not sell users' personal information. Information processed by third-party advertising services may be handled according to the privacy policies of those service providers.
Internet:
Internet connectivity may be used for advertising services and related functionality.
Children:
OBD Car Scanner is intended as a vehicle diagnostic utility and is not specifically designed for children.
Security:
Reasonable measures are taken to protect information handled by the application. However, no electronic system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
