HOLIDAY/DICK HUNT COMPETITION
The Dick Hunt Memorial is for the winner of the Senior Holiday Competition. Donated by the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force after the Second World War it is named after Richard Hunt who was of some note in the 2NZEF.
Up until the early 1990s the Dick Hunt was a challenge trophy with teams playing the holder on Sundays.
Currently this competition is played during December and January during the school holidays when the school teams are unable to compete in the normal Borton Cup Competition..
From the 2007-08 season this trophy was contested with matches using a mixture of 45 over and the T20 format.
At the request of the clubs NOCA changed the format to a solely T20 competition with the top two playing a final for the trophy in late January.
