Oakland BBG is a Jewish youth group in Oakland CA. We have weekly meetings and do tons of events so that we have opportunities to hang out with others in our chapter. We are a group of Jewish 8th-12th graders who talk about life with each other, learn from each other, and discuss Judaism and society with each other.

BBYO is a non profit Jewish youth organization with chapters (smaller groups within BBYO) spanning the world. BBYO provides Jewish teens with opportunities of leadership and friendship opportunities all over the world.

Oakland bbg is one of many chapters across the world and we are a part of a bigger Jewish led youth group organization called BBYO. Since BBYO is a Jewish youth group, as you could imagine, we take part in many Jewish traditions to closer connect us to our Judaism. Some of these traditions include Havdalahs, Shabbats, and discussing our Judaism. We explore how we, as Jewish youth, are affected by various current events and how we, as some of the only Jews, can make a difference in the world.
