E-Books at Your Fingertips!
Here are a few simple ways to read e-books!
Look at what the library has through its online catalog. Click the Student Resources tab above and you can search there. Type in your topic then click "ebook" under "Material Type" to narrow down your search. Make sure you login so that you can check it out and read it immediately.
Use the SORA app or website. The app is in Class Link but you can also access it on a phone, tablet, or computer. From any computer, use this link https://soraapp.com/welcome. You'll choose Jefferson County then login with your email address.
Read Scholastic Book Flix books. Click HERE! Login is OGES and the password is flix. Enjoy!
Meet the Librarian
Ashley Powell is OGES's teacher librarian. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from USM. She has her master's degree in Library and Information Sciences from USM as well. She has taught students from Kindergarten up to the 12th grade in both English and Spanglish. After spending 5 years in Bolivia, South America, her and her husband and 3 (almost 4-an adoption is in process) live in Hueytown. She LOVES teaching, learning, and having fun with kids.
