Thad Madsen State Farm

Congratulations to Thad Madsen! He will be receiving the Volunteer of the Year award at this year's Recognition Banquet!

Thad Madsen State Farm opened up on July 1st of 2020.  Most of you were very familiar with Don Slater who was the State Farm Agent in Odessa for 45 years in the same location.  With Don’s passing, many of us waited to see who would try to fill his shoes.  Thad Madsen has shown himself very capable to pivot into the role of Odessa’s State Farm Agent.  He says he has 2 goals for his agency:

1. Help every single person protect what matters most to them

2. Use his platform to serve the community

Of course, Thad credits the employees of Thad Madsen State Farm for all their work on these projects, all of which reside in Odessa and have the same passion of helping people!  Everyone at the State Farm office agrees: The best part of the job is working with members of our community and helping the town thrive!

Odessa MFA Agri-Service

MFA started in a one-room schoolhouse in Brunswick, MO in 1914 when several farmers came together to form a cooperative to order 1,150 pounds of baler twine.  From then on MFA has grown to serve more than 45,000 farmers/owners in Missouri and surrounding states. 

Locally, MFA Odessa is a part of the River Valley Group which concludes Higginsville, Lexington, Norborne, Orrick and Levasy.  We offer a full line of quality services and products such as feed, farm supplies, fertilizer, chemicals, seed and much more. 

Blaine Biessenherz is the manager here in Odessa.  He grew up in Wellington but is super exited to work with and get to know not just the farmers but the entire community
