Overdose is the leading cause of death among people experiencing homelessness in NYC, and alcohol is the 5th leading cause of death. This elearning course prepares staff to use an evidence-based harm reduction approach in their day-to-day work.

The training is for all DHS and HRA staff. Understanding substance use and harm reduction impacts all levels of our work.
The training is 45 minutes, available online and self-paced - you can take any time you wish.
You will receive a Certificate of Completion in your Absorb account after completing this training.
