Privacy Policy — Shadow Switch

Effective date: 8 September 2026

NX Infotech provides Shadow Switch, an advertising-supported Android game. This policy explains how information is handled when you play the game, view advertisements, use privacy controls, or contact us. It also applies to testing versions of the game.

1. Information stored on your device

The game does not require registration or an account. It stores the following in local app storage to remember your progress and preferences:

The game does not upload these saved gameplay records to an NX Infotech game server. Android backup or device-transfer features may copy app data depending on your device and account settings. These features are controlled by Android and your backup provider.

2. Advertising and privacy services

Shadow Switch uses Google AdMob, through the Google Mobile Ads SDK, to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements. Rewarded ads support optional in-game benefits, including changing worlds or characters. Ad availability may vary.

Depending on device settings, age-related restrictions, consent, and ad configuration, Google’s advertising services may process IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them, device or app identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. These services use information for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention. The current family configuration removes the Android advertising-ID permission; this does not mean that all other SDK information collection stops.

Google’s User Messaging Platform manages applicable advertising privacy messages and choices. Where required, the game displays a consent message and provides Settings → Privacy choices to revisit available choices. This option appears when Google indicates that it is required. Non-personalized advertising can still involve processing information to deliver and measure ads or prevent fraud.

Further information is available in the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.

3. Internet connection checks

An internet connection is required to play. While the app is active, it periodically contacts a Google-hosted connectivity endpoint at www.gstatic.com to check internet availability. The receiving service necessarily receives your IP address and ordinary connection/request information. These checks do not include your saved scores, selected character, or age-group record.

4. Children and age selection

The game includes an age-group selection screen to configure advertising privacy settings. In the current version, both “Under 13” and “13–17” selections receive child-directed and under-age-of-consent ad request settings, with non-personalized ad requests. Ad content requests are restricted to Google's general-audience rating for all age groups.

Age selection is used to apply restrictions; it is not a parental-consent mechanism. The game does not ask children to provide a name, email address, photograph, or exact birth date to play. Advertising services may still process limited technical information as described above, subject to the applied restrictions.

Parents or guardians may contact us about a child's privacy or to request deletion of information they have provided to us. Please do not send sensitive information about a child unless necessary to resolve your request.

5. Information you send to us

If you contact our support email, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond to your request, investigate reported problems, and handle privacy concerns. Our email provider processes these communications to provide email services.

6. Sharing and external services

Information is processed by Google for advertising, consent management, and connectivity services as explained above, and by our email provider when you contact us. We may disclose information we hold when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or protect legal rights. The game has no public profile or public player-to-player data-sharing feature.

If you open an advertisement or another external link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable privacy terms and safeguards.

7. Retention, deletion, and your choices

Local game records remain until you clear the app's storage or remove the app. To reset local records, use Android Settings → Apps → Shadow Switch → Storage → Clear storage/data; labels vary by device. This resets progress, preferences, and age selection. Backed-up copies, if any, are managed through your device or backup provider's settings and may be restored later.

We retain support correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your request and handle related support, security, or legal obligations. You may email us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information you sent us. We may need reasonable information to verify a request. We will explain any information that must be retained for legal reasons.

Clearing app storage does not delete records already held by Google or another provider. Their retention rules and privacy controls apply to those records. We do not operate a Shadow Switch account system, so there is no game account to delete. Where applicable, you may exercise privacy rights by contacting us or the relevant provider.

8. Permissions and security

The game uses internet access, network-state access, and vibration for connectivity, advertisements, and haptic effects. It does not request camera, microphone, contacts, or precise-location access. The current game does not integrate Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics.

The connectivity endpoint uses HTTPS. Google documents encryption in transit for Mobile Ads SDK data. Local information relies on Android's app-storage protections. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the game or its data practices change. The revised policy will be made available through the game's Privacy policy link, with an updated effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
