Leila Rasas is a music educator and performer in Los Angeles, CA. Leila earned her Master of Music degree from the University of Oregon and received her Bachelor of Music from Samford University. Her primary teachers include Michael Grose, Dr. Demondrae Thurman, and Dr. Beth Mitchell.

As an educator, Rasas is an adjunct faculty member at Cerritos College, works as a marching and music instructor with LA Unified high school band programs, and teaches privately. Leila is a performing member of the Chromatic Brass Collective and performed with the group as featured artists at the 2022 International Women’s Brass Conference. She has also performed in Alabama, California, Iowa, Oregon, Texas, the Dominican Republic, and Türkiye. 

Leila has appeared as a musician in multiple commercials, movies, television shows, and a music video. Some recent examples are the movie Candy Cane Lane and the music video for “Who’s In Your Head” by the Jonas Brothers.

In 2019 Leila was a semi-finalist at the International Tuba Euphonium Conference’s chamber competition and in 2021 was selected as a semi-finalist for the Stars and Shipes Mock-Band Competition.
