SEATTLE TO SAN FRANCISCO

SEATTLE TO SAN FRANCISCO

RS2SF is a 7 day cycling ride along the Pacific coast beginning in Seattle WA and finishing at the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Riders will travel over 1000 miles across three states as they ride their bikes between two of the biggest cities in the pacific northwest.

  • Day 1 the course travels along the shore of Lake Washington and then south through historic Enumclaw before continuing west to reach the Washington coast in Aberdeen.
  • Day 2 we leave Washington State, crossing the Columbia River on the Astoria-Megler Bridge into Astoria, Oregon and continuing south along the Oregon coast to Tillamook.
  • Day 3 we ride from Tillamook through the Siuslaw Forest in Oregon and finish up in Florence on the banks of the Umpqua River.
  • Day 4 brings us from Florence with views of the Oregon Sand Dunes and Coos Bay before finishing up in Brookings at the border with California.
  • Day 5 we enter California and the Redwood National Forest, riding through Humboldt County to reach Eureka.
  • Day 6 brings us from Eureka, through the Redwoods and along the California Lost Coast on HWY 1, as we serpentine our way to Fort Bragg. You can almost see the Golden Gate Bridge from here (not really, we still have over 150 miles to cover the last day into San Francisco).
  • Day 7 we have our last big push, into San Francisco, traveling down the California coast along its winding roads with views of the Pacific Ocean and spectacular climbs and descents for much of this challenging stretch to the finish at the Golden Gate Bridge.
