Van-Linh Nguyen (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in computer science and information engineering from National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan, in December 2019. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at CCU from 2020 to 2022 before joining the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, CCU, as a faculty member in August 2022, where he is currently an Associate Professor and Director of the Cyber Information Security Laboratory (CISLab). He has authored more than 70 publications and was recognized with the CCU Young Faculty Award in 2026 and was included in the Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists Worldwide List (Single Year 2025). He actively contributes to the research community as a reviewer for numerous prestigious journals/conferences, including COMST, TDSC, TIFS, TON, TCOM, JSAC, IoTJ, TVT, TNSE, TNSM, TMC, TSC, GC, ICC, VTC, and etc. He was the TPC chair and the leading organizer of IEEE GLOBECOM 2025 WS20, 2026 WS02, Session Chair of IEEE VTC Fall 2024, IEEE GLOBECOM 2023. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Communications Letters and IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials. Prof. Nguyen has also served as Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-PI on several national projects funded by Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), with total funding exceeding NTD 46 million. He is also a consortium partner in a CHIST-ERA project SHIELD (2025–2028) funded jointly with European partners.  His research interests include cybersecurity,  wireless communications, and quantum machine learning. Specifically, the topics can be: 

• Cybersecurity: physical layer security, intrusion detection systems, AI for cybersecurity; cybersecurity in AI

• Wireless communications: V2X, B5G/6G networks, ISAC, semantic communications.

• Quantum machine learning, quantum security, quantum purification, and encryption

• Trustworthy AI for critical applications (smart grid, intelligent transportation, digital twins)
