PRIVACY POLICY – NUTTY

1. Introduction

Nutty (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) is a personal expense tracking application designed to help you record and review your finances.

Nutty supports account sign-in (Email/Password or Google Sign-In) and allows data synchronization via Firebase, enabling backup and cross-device access.

By installing or using Nutty, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account Information

●      Email address (when using Email/Password sign-in)

●      Basic Google account information (e.g., display name and email when using Google Sign-In)

Transaction Information

●      Amount and transaction type (expense/income)

●      Category, note, transaction date/time

●      Attachments (e.g., receipt photos)

App Settings

●      Language preference

●      Theme preference (light/dark/system)

●      Start-of-week preference

●      Onboarding status and other in-app preferences

Category Storage Note

●      Newer versions may store categories using stable internal IDs (e.g., shopping) to support multi-language display.

●      Older data may still contain Vietnamese category names. The app remains compatible with both formats.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

We may collect limited technical and usage data via Firebase Analytics, including:

●      App opens and screen views

●      Basic usage events

●      Device information (e.g., device model, OS version, app version)

Note: Nutty does not display ads and does not use data for targeted advertising.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

●      Authenticate users (Firebase Authentication)

●      Store and sync data (Firebase Firestore)

●      Provide core features (transactions, analytics, reports)

●      Enable data export (CSV, PDF reports)

●      Improve performance and stability (Firebase Analytics)

4. In-App Purchases (IAP)

Nutty offers in-app purchases for report export tokens.

●      Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store payment details.

●      Token balances (e.g., reportTokens) are stored in Firebase and linked to your account for cross-device usage.

5. Data Storage

5.1 On-Device Storage

Stored locally on your device:

●      App settings

●      Temporary export/share files (CSV, PDF)

This data is typically removed when the app is uninstalled.

5.2 Cloud Storage (Firebase)

If you sign in, your data may be stored in Firebase Firestore, including:

●      Transactions

●      Attachments

Firebase may use servers in multiple regions.

If you use the “Delete all data” feature:

●      Your Firebase data will be deleted (within app control)

●      Related local data will also be removed

6. Device Permissions

Nutty only requests necessary permissions, such as:

●      Camera / Photos (for transaction attachments)

You can manage permissions in your device settings. Some features may be limited if permissions are denied.

7. Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

We only share data when necessary with:

●      Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics)

●      Apple App Store / Google Play (payment processing)

These services operate under their own privacy policies.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures, including:

●      Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)

●      Access controls tied to authenticated accounts

However, no method is 100% secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

●      View, edit, or delete your data

●      Delete all data within the app

●      Export your data (CSV/PDF)

●      Sign out or uninstall the app

10. Children’s Privacy

Nutty is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.

If significant changes occur:

●      The effective date will be updated

●      Notice may be provided in-app

Continued use of the app indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
