NutriShield ("we," "our," or "us") operates the NutriShield mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app and the choices you have associated with that data.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a secure experience while discovering healthy, high-protein recipes.
To provide and improve our service, we collect certain personally identifiable information when you create an account or interact with the app:
Account Registration (Email & Password): If you register using your email, we collect your name, email address, and password. Note: Your password is encrypted and securely handled via Firebase Authentication; we never store or view your plain-text password.
Google Sign-In: If you choose to log in using Google Sign-In, we collect your basic Google account details, which include your name, Gmail address, and profile picture URL.
Favorites and App Data: We store the list of recipes you save to your Favorites list in our secure cloud database (Firebase) so your preferences sync across your sessions.
We utilize trusted third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

We do not currently display third-party advertisements in NutriShield. However, we reserve the right to introduce ads in future updates.
If introduced, we plan to use Google AdMob to display ads.
AdMob may use device identifiers and cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our app or other apps on the internet. You will be able to manage ad personalization through your device settings.
The security of your data is important to us. We use industry-standard security protocols provided by Firebase to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Our service does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
If you wish to delete your account and remove all associated personal data from our systems, you can do so easily directly within the app:
Open the app and log into your account.
Navigate to your Account Settings or Profile screen.
Select the Delete Account option and confirm your request.
