NutriPath ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application NutriPath (the "App"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
When you use NutriPath, we may collect the following personal information that you voluntarily provide:
•Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account.
•Body Profile Data: Height, weight, age, gender, activity level, and fitness goals that you enter during onboarding.
•Health and Nutrition Data: Meal logs, calorie intake, macronutrient tracking, water consumption, sleep duration and quality scores, exercise activity, and weight progress entries.
•Camera Data: The App uses your device camera solely for the purpose of food recognition and nutritional analysis. Photos captured through the App's food scanner are processed to identify food items and estimate nutritional content. Images are sent to our server for AI-based analysis and are not stored permanently.
•Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for analytics and app functionality purposes.
•Google Sign-In: If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) as authorized by you through Google's OAuth consent screen.
•Google AdMob: Our advertising partner Google AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for more details: https://policies.google.com/privacy
•API Ninjas: We use API Ninjas' nutrition database to provide accurate nutritional information for foods. Only food item names (text queries ) are sent to this service — no personal data is shared.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
•To provide personalized meal plans, exercise routines, and health recommendations based on your body profile and goals.
•To analyze food photos using AI-powered food recognition to estimate nutritional content.
•To track your progress including weight changes, calorie intake, sleep patterns, and exercise activity.
•To sync your data across devices when you sign in with your Google account (via Firebase Firestore).
•To display advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free version of the App.
•To process in-app purchases and manage your premium subscription status.
•To improve the App's functionality and user experience.
•Local Storage: If you use the App without signing in, all your data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data is not transmitted to any server (except for food photo analysis and nutrition lookups).
•Cloud Storage: If you sign in with Google, your profile data, health metrics, and preferences are synced to Firebase Firestore (operated by Google) under your unique user account. This enables cross-device access and data backup.
•Security Measures: We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Firebase Firestore data is protected by Google's enterprise-grade security infrastructure.

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their respective policies.
NutriPath requests access to your device camera for the sole purpose of capturing food photos for AI-powered nutritional analysis. Specifically:
•The camera is used only when you actively open the food scanner feature.
•Photos are sent to our secure server for AI analysis to identify food items and estimate calories and macronutrients.
•Photos are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers.
•You can deny camera permission at any time through your device settings, though this will disable the food scanning feature.
The free version of NutriPath displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's advertising settings or by upgrading to NutriPath Premium.
NutriPath offers premium subscription plans processed through Google Play Billing. Payment information is handled entirely by Google and is not collected or stored by us. Your premium subscription status is stored in your user profile to unlock premium features.
NutriPath is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
You have the right to:
•Access your personal data stored in the App at any time through the Profile screen.
•Delete your account and associated cloud data by signing out and requesting deletion.
•Opt out of cloud sync by using the App without signing in (local-only mode).
•Control advertising preferences through your device settings.
•Revoke camera permission through your device settings at any time.
•Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the App or clear app data.
•Cloud-synced data (for signed-in users) is retained in Firebase Firestore until you request deletion or delete your account.
•Food photos sent for analysis are processed in real-time and not retained on our servers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
