I went for the beginner level guitar activity for the first round of learning activities where I had to use my fingers to press hard on the guitar strings in order to produce a nice sound and I experienced considerable pain in my fingers. From this I learnt to persevere through pain during the process of learning which I feel is also applicable in this lifelong journey of learning from God especially when I am reminded of John 16:33 which says "๐ ๐ฉ๐ข๐ท๐ฆ ๐ต๐ฐ๐ญ๐ฅ ๐บ๐ฐ๐ถ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ด๐ฆ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ๐ด, ๐ด๐ฐ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ข๐ต ๐ช๐ฏ ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐บ๐ฐ๐ถ ๐ฎ๐ข๐บ ๐ฉ๐ข๐ท๐ฆ ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ข๐ค๐ฆ. So apparently the title for this verse is assurance of trouble. As such, I see that it is important to be able to persevere through the pain and suffering that comes from trouble that will happen in the journey of learning from God.
For the second round of learning activities, I went for the table tennis learning activity. I went for this activity with the expectation of improving my backhand technique which I felt that I was weak in and not my forehand technique which I felt that I was strong in. I ended up having the flaws in my forehand technique pointed out to me and from this I learnt to have the humility to learn from others in areas that I might feel that I am strong in or know very well. I see that this also applies to Bible reading where I need to have the humility to continue to have the desire to learn from God even through reading passages or stories that I have read many times and know well.
