Theatre is a dynamic and collaborative live art form. This practice-based course delves into creative processes to craft original theatrical works. Students explore seminal theatre practice techniques to develop skills in devising, directing, playwriting, and performing. Rehearsal time is required outside of course meetings due to collaboration and practical application. Readings and short written reflections complement artistic practice, enriching understanding of performance concepts and techniques. No prior theatre experience is required. Note: For FASS students, this course can be counted toward the requirements for a Major or Second Major in Theatre and Performance Studies.
