The health of the planet is an existential challenge requiring interdisciplinary approaches going beyond sustainability towards regeneration as paradigm and practice. This course introduces the ecological, social and cultural dimensions of regeneration in three steps. First, we strive to understand regeneration through systems thinking and complexity science, including the application of computational social science to ecological systems. Second, we seek to bring together stakeholders and student leaders to forge intercultural connections across generational divides. Third, we aim to develop interdisciplinary projects using regenerative approaches and the intercultural connections to tackle the ecological problems faced by vulnerable communities in diverse Asia.
