NURTURE-SEA organized a Stakeholder Forum from Monday, July 8, to Thursday, July 11, 2024. The event brought together researchers and key stakeholders from across Southeast Asia to address the growing obesogenic environment and the disconnect between nutrition, health, and rapid urban development in the region.
The three-day event was dedicated to reshaping the trajectory of urban environment research to achieve equitable nutrition, health, and well-being amidst rapid urbanization in Southeast Asia. Experts and stakeholders from diverse fields and sectors convened to dismantle disciplinary and sectoral silos, fostering a collaborative environment among academia, practitioners, and communities. NURTURE-SEA emphasized the multifaceted nature of urban development and adopted a holistic approach to promote discussions addressing the complexities of interconnected factors. This collaborative effort facilitated the co-development of integrated solutions aimed at eradicating obesogenic environments and promoting sustainable health outcomes.
