1. Introduction
NurApp ("we", "our", or "us") is developed by Md. Nasar Uddin Redoy. This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed on your device and what limited data is sent to third-party services when you use specific features.
By using NurApp, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. Data We Process
• Location Data (Foreground): Used for prayer times, Qibla direction, and nearby mosques.
• Device Sensors: Compass/magnetometer and motion sensor data are used for Qibla compass.
• Notifications: Adhan alert preferences and scheduled local notifications.
• Voice Search Data: Microphone and speech recognition are used only when you tap voice search. We use recognized text for search functionality.
• Local App Data: Settings, bookmarks, last read position, tasbih counter, selected reciter/translation, and cached content are stored locally on your device (AsyncStorage).
3. How Data Is Used
• To calculate prayer times and Qibla.
• To find nearby mosques.
• To provide Quran/Hadith content and audio.
• To process and restore premium subscriptions.
• To store your preferences and app progress locally.
4. Third-Party APIs
NurApp uses third-party services for core functionality:
• AlAdhan API (api.aladhan.com): prayer times, Hijri calendar, Qibla direction.
• Overpass + Photon APIs: nearby mosque discovery.
• Quran/Hadith content APIs: api.alquran.cloud, jsDelivr-hosted Quran/Hadith datasets, EveryAyah audio links.
• RevenueCat: in-app subscription status, offerings, and entitlement checks.
• Apple App Store (In-App Purchase): payment processing and subscription billing.
• Platform speech recognition services (Apple/Google): voice-to-text for voice search.
When these services are called, they may receive limited technical data such as IP address, request metadata, and (where required) coordinates/search parameters.
5. What We Do Not Do
• We do not create user accounts.
• We do not directly collect your name, email, or password for app usage.
• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not run third-party ad SDKs for targeted advertising.
• We do not use app data for cross-app tracking.
6. Notifications
If enabled, NurApp schedules local Adhan notifications on your device. Notification schedules are generated from prayer times and your settings.
7. Subscription & Payments
Premium subscriptions are processed via Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat entitlement management. We do not store your card data. Billing data is handled by Apple. Subscription state and entitlement checks are managed by RevenueCat/Apple systems.
8. Data Retention
Most app data is stored locally on your device and remains until you clear app data or uninstall the app. Some third-party providers may keep request logs according to their own retention policies.
9. Your Controls
You can control permissions anytime from your device settings:
• Location
• Notifications
• Microphone
• Speech Recognition
You can also disable notification features from in-app settings.
10. Children's Privacy
NurApp does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Parents/guardians can manage device permissions and app access.
11. Data Security
We use platform security controls and local storage to protect data. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is 100% secure.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app. Continued use of NurApp after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
