MatchDay ("we", "us", or "our") operates the MatchDay mobile application (the "App"), available on iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

MatchDay is a sports scores and fixtures app focused on cricket and football. In general:
You can use most features without creating an account.
If you sign in, your profile is stored on your device only — we do not operate a separate MatchDay user database.
The App connects to our live scores API to fetch match data and may show ads through Google AdMob.
On supported devices, the App can show local live score notifications while the App is in the background.
Optional sign-in (Google, Apple, or Facebook)
If you choose to sign in, the App receives basic profile information from the provider you select, such as:
Account identifier
Display name
Email address (when made available by the provider)
Profile photo URL (when available)
This information is saved locally on your device so you stay signed in between sessions. Signing in is optional and is not required to view live scores, calendars, or news.
Feedback
If you contact us through the in-app Feedback option, your email app may share your email address and message content with us. We only receive what you choose to send.
App usage and preferences stored on your device
The App may store the following locally using on-device storage:
Light or dark theme preference
Sign-in session (if you use optional login)
Ad-free or premium status, including temporary ad-free periods earned through rewarded ads
Network and device information
When you use the App, your device communicates with our servers to load live scores, fixtures, calendars, news, and related sports content. These requests may include:
IP address
Device type and operating system
App version
Request timing and general technical logs needed to operate the service
We use this information to deliver content, maintain reliability, and troubleshoot issues. We do not use it to build a personal advertising profile inside MatchDay.
Live score notifications
On Android and iOS, if you allow notifications, the App may display a compact live score update on your lock screen while the App is in the background. Notification content is generated from publicly available match data and is not used to identify you.
MatchDay does not intentionally collect:
Precise location data
Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data
Payment card details directly (any future purchases would be handled by Apple or Google)
Health or biometric data
We use information to:
Show live scores, fixtures, results, calendars, news, and related sports content
Keep you signed in if you use optional login
Remember your theme and ad-related preferences
Display advertisements and optional rewarded ad-free periods
Show background live score notifications on supported devices
Respond to support or feedback requests
Maintain, secure, and improve the App and our backend services
We do not sell your personal information.

AdMob may use advertising identifiers and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can control ad personalization through your device settings where available.
On your device
Sign-in details, theme settings, and ad-related preferences are stored locally on your phone or tablet until you sign out, clear app data, or uninstall the App.
On our servers
Our backend stores and processes sports data needed to operate the service. Server logs may be retained for a limited period for security, debugging, and reliability. We do not store optional sign-in profile data in a MatchDay account database.
Retention
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law.
We may share information only in these situations:
Service providers that help us operate the App, such as hosting, sports data providers, and advertising partners
Sign-in providers you choose to use (Google, Apple, or Facebook)
Legal requirements, such as responding to lawful requests, court orders, or protecting rights, safety, and security
Business changes, such as a merger or acquisition, with appropriate notice where required
We do not share optional sign-in profile data from your device with other MatchDay users.
You can:
Use the App without signing in
Sign out at any time from the User section
Enable or disable notifications in your device settings
Control ad personalization through your device or platform settings
Delete locally stored App data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the App

MatchDay is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you use MatchDay from outside the country where our services are hosted, your information may be processed in locations that may have different data protection laws than your own.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the App or through store listings where appropriate.
