Definitions

• • Property --> A statement that is true for any number

  • Commutative Property --> The order in which numbers are multiplied or added does not change the product or sum

  • Associative Property --> The way in which numbers are group when they are multiplied or added does not change the product or sum

  • Additive Identity --> When zero is added to any number, the number remains unchanged

  • Multiplicative Identity --> When any number is multiplied by one, the number remains unchanged

  • Multiplicative Zero Property --> When any number is multiplied by zero, the answer is zero

  • Counterexample --> An example that shows that a property is false
