Coordinate Plane --> Formed when two number lines intersect at a 90 degree angle
Origin --> The point where the two number lines intersect at (0, 0)
X-Axis --> The horizontal number line
Y-Axis --> The vertical number line
Quadrants --> The four sections of the coordinate plane
Ordered Pairs --> A pair of numbers used to locate points on a coordinate plane
An ordered pair looks like this --> (3, 5) or (-2, 6) or (-4, -8)
The first number listed in the ordered pair is an x-coordinate, which moves you horizontally on the on the x-axis
The second number listed in the ordered pair is a y-coordinate, which moves you vertically on the y-axis
You will always move along the x-axis first, then the y-axis second
