Definitions
- Variable --> A symbol (often a letter) that represents an unknown quantity
- Algebra --> Branch of mathematics that involves expressions with variables
- Algebraic Expressions --> Contains variables, numbers, and at least one operation
- Coefficient --> The numerical factor of a multiplication expression that contains a variable
- Define a Variable --> Choosing a variable to represent an unknown quantity
In the example above, the 9 and the 6 are examples of coefficients.
