6.8.3 Angle Relationships

Defintions

• • Vertical Angles --> When two lines intersect, they form two pairs of opposite angles (or angles across from each other)

    • These angles have the same measure (in degrees)

  • Adjacent Angles --> When two lines intersect, these angles share a common side and are next to each other

    • These angles will make supplementary angles (given below)

  • Supplementary Angles --> The sum of two angles makes 180 degrees

  • Complementary Angles --> The sum of two angles makes 90 degrees
