6.2.2 Multiply Fractions and Whole Numbers

What this really shows us is that when we have a whole number, such as 8, we can change it to 8/1. They mean they exact same thing, it's just a different way of writing the number. We then multiply across (8 x 1 and 1 x 4) to get 8/4, which simplifies down to 2.
