Multiplying Decimals by Decimals:
Estimate the answer to the problem first to get an idea for a reasonable answer.
Multiply the problem normally.
However many decimal places there are will show you how far to move the decimal in your final answer.
<----- Again, you will notice that an extra 0 is added, this time to the left of the 9 in the hundredths place. This is because when you multiply the problem out, the decimal is supposed to move four places, but only three numbers will appear in the answer (the 9, 3, and 8). To make up for this, we include that extra 0 to the left of the 9 so that the decimal is allowed to move four places to the left.
