If you want a dedicated door speaker adapter for your Dodge Ram, Jeep Wrangler, or Chrysler sedan that lets you swap speakers without cutting factory wires, choose NuIth 72-6514; if you need a radio-side wiring harness to replace a damaged connector on a Pioneer multimedia receiver during an upgrade or repair, choose SCREENTRONICS Car. These two products serve completely different ecosystems within the car audio world, and confusing them will lead to a frustrating return process.
As an independent reviewer who has spent years analyzing automotive audio specifications, I see these two items as specialized tools rather than direct competitors. One is designed to bridge the gap between factory door speakers and aftermarket units in specific American muscle and utility vehicles, while the other acts as a universal interface for a major brand of head units. For SUV owners specifically, the decision often hinges on whether you are upgrading the sound system in the doors of your truck or trying to install a new touchscreen head unit into the dashboard. The NuIth solution targets the physical speaker connection in the door panels of trucks like the Ram 1500 and Jeeps, whereas the SCREENTRONICS unit targets the electrical interface behind the dashboard where the stereo lives. Getting this right means your upgrade works immediately, but getting it wrong means buying parts twice.
• NuIth 72-6514: Its biggest strength is the specific compatibility with a massive range of Mopar vehicles (Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler) allowing for a true plug-and-play door speaker upgrade without any soldering. The trade-off is that it only works on the speaker side of the equation and does not handle power or radio functions. This pick is for owners of Dodge Rams, Jeeps, and Chryslers looking to replace blown door speakers or add high-end components.
• SCREENTRONICS Car: Its biggest strength is its broad compatibility with the entire Pioneer DMH and MVH series, offering a robust replacement for cut or missing radio connectors with included color-coded diagrams. The trade-off is that it is strictly a radio-side harness and requires a separate vehicle-specific adapter to connect to the car's actual wiring. This pick is for enthusiasts installing a new Pioneer digital media receiver or repairing a damaged dash wiring loom.
The NuIth 72-6514 is built for a very specific audience: people driving Dodge Ram trucks, Jeep Wranglers, or various Chrysler sedans who want to improve their audio output in the doors. The product data sheet highlights a staggering list of compatible models, ranging from the classic Jeep TJ to the modern Ram 3500 and Durango. If you own one of these vehicles and have ever struggled to find a speaker that fits the factory mounting point or tried to figure out how to wire a new speaker without melting insulation, this harness is your answer.
What sets this apart is the design philosophy of "no extra cutting." The specification explicitly states that no soldering or splicing is required. Instead, it uses pure copper conductors encased in a durable yet flexible PVC sheath. This combination suggests a focus on signal quality and longevity, which matters when you are trying to get clear highs and deep bass from aftermarket speakers in a noisy environment like a pickup truck. The white color coding and the four-piece count indicate it is a complete kit for handling both front and rear door connections, likely simplifying the process of upgrading multiple speakers at once.

You should buy this if you drive a vehicle listed in the extensive compatibility guide and want to keep your factory wiring intact. However, you should skip this if you are trying to replace a car radio or if you drive a Ford, Toyota, or Honda. The specificity of the fitment means it will not work outside the Mopar ecosystem. Furthermore, if you are looking for a power harness or an amplifier remote turn-on wire, this product does not provide those functions; it is purely for the speaker signal path. It is a surgical tool for speaker upgrades, not a general-purpose electrical fix.
The SCREENTRONICS Car harness takes a different approach, focusing entirely on the head unit side of the equation. This product is engineered as a compatible replacement for the wiring harnesses found on a wide array of Pioneer radios, including the popular DMH-100BT, MVH-200EX, and SPH-DA120 models. If you are the type of person who buys a high-end digital media receiver because of its screen quality or connectivity features, this harness ensures you don't lose functionality when you swap the old radio out.
The standout feature here is the inclusion of a full-color wiring diagram. In the world of car audio installation, identifying which wire goes where can be a nightmare, especially when dealing with older vehicles or non-standard setups. By providing a visual guide alongside premium copper conductors and precision-molded connectors, SCREENTRONICS aims to simplify the electrical troubleshooting process. The black color of the connector and the use of color-coded insulation suggest a design meant to reduce confusion during the messy task of routing wires through a dashboard.
This product is ideal for someone repairing a previously removed radio connector, fixing cut wiring from a botched DIY job, or performing a clean installation of a new Pioneer multimedia receiver. It handles the critical power, ground, accessory, illumination, and amplifier remote turn-on connections that keep your radio alive. You cannot just plug this into your car's wall; you need a separate vehicle-specific adapter to bridge the gap between this Pioneer harness and your car's factory wiring. If you do not already have the correct vehicle adapter, this item alone will not complete your installation.
• Best for Door Speaker Upgrades → NuIth 72-6514. If your goal is to replace the speakers in the doors of a Dodge, Jeep, or Chrysler without touching the main dashboard electronics, this is the only logical choice.
• Best for Head Unit Installation → SCREENTRONICS Car. If you are installing a new Pioneer touchscreen radio or replacing a broken radio connector, this harness provides the necessary power and signal paths.
• Best for No-Cut Installation → NuIth 72-6514. The design guarantees no soldering or splicing of factory wires, preserving the original integrity of your vehicle's door wiring.
• Best for Electrical Repair → SCREENTRONICS Car. It is designed to restore a damaged harness or replace a cut connector on the radio side with reliable conductivity.
• Most Comprehensive Compatibility List → NuIth 72-6514. The sheer volume of vehicle years and models supported by the NuIth part is significantly higher than the specific radio model list for SCREENTRONICS.
• Best for Visual Guidance → SCREENTRONICS Car. The inclusion of a full-color wiring diagram makes it easier to identify wire functions compared to the standard connector setup of the NuIth part.
• Best for Truck Owners → NuIth 72-6514. With specific mentions of the Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500, this is the go-to for heavy-duty truck audio enthusiasts.
• Best for Pioneer Users → SCREENTRONICS Car. If your radio is a Pioneer DMH or MVH series, this is the designated replacement harness to ensure proper operation.
In my opinion, the choice between these two depends entirely on what part of the audio system you are working on, but for most SUV owners upgrading their vehicle's sound, the NuIth 72-6514 offers a more immediate and tangible improvement to daily driving comfort. It solves the common problem of blown door speakers in trucks and SUVs with a simple plug-in solution that respects the factory wiring. However, if your project starts with pulling out an old radio to put in a new Pioneer screen, then the SCREENTRONICS Car harness is the essential component you need to make that electronics work safely. I would buy the NuIth 72-6514 if I wanted better music in my Ram 1500 today, but I would grab the SCREENTRONICS harness if I were building a custom head unit setup from scratch.
