Fine Art and Design Course
The primary goal of this course as an extension of the undergraduate course is to foster artistic as well as intellectual ability. It is assumed that the former is strengthened and given direction by the latter. Although training students in skills and technical knowledge in their respective fields of painting, sculpture, printmaking and design disciplines including communication, industrial and architectural designs -- along with the theory of plastic art that encompasses them --is important, creative interactions among these fields is also strongly encouraged. This course aims to endow students with sensitivity to traditional culture as well as to the age of information and globalism, a prerequisite for the creation of visual culture in the future.
