Environment Modeling and Object Detection

The factory eye system utilizes an RGB webcam to obtain real-time images. The obtained images are calibrated and the object detection technology is used to select the target of interest. The system then draws a map of the main corridors based on the target of interest. The system processes the selected target object and the drawn map to obtain real-time available space. Later, a few sample object detection models are used to enhance recognition rates and identify obstacles in the environment, such as cardboard boxes, pallets, trolleys, and humans.
