Scholarships

General Scholarship for attendees ages 29+

• A limited number of travel scholarships are available for members and employees of federally recognized Tribes. Funds may be applied towards transportation, airfare, and per diem meals. 

• Awardees will be notified individually via email by August 10th. 

• Applicants are responsible for paying the full $400 registration fee. 

• Applicants must pay for registration, per diem meals out of pocket, up front. The NTICC team will book your lodging. ITEP's Travel Agent will book your flights.

• Selected awardees have 5 business days from the end of conference to submit reimbursement documentation and applicable receipts. These documents and further instructions will be communicated directly to the individual awardees. 

• If travel falls outside of approved conference dates and/or you're requesting mileage reimbursement, a mock itinerary is also required.  Should you be selected for a scholarship, the ITEP team will work with you to create these mock itineraries. 

• Reimbursements should be received 30-45 days after all documentation and receipts are received. Awardees should receive a check for a lump sum amount to be used towards their conference expenses.

Youth focused scholarship for ages 18-28

Additional requirements apply for this scholarship. These include, but are not limited to the following:

• The same requirements apply to the Young Leaders Scholarship as the General Scholarship.

• Applicants are responsible for paying the discounted $50 registration fee after acceptance.

• Additional requirements apply for this scholarship. These include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Active participation in the conference which involves:  

    • Attending conference sessions

    • Participation in a Young Leaders' Panel on Wednesday, October 7th

    • Participation in pre-conference planning for the Young Leaders' Panel 

    • Documenting conference via social media and engaging digitally 

• Awardees will be notified individually via email by August 10th.
