At the July 31, 2024 FDP/NTGCOP/NIH Webinar, we collected audience suggestions for those applying for a training grant for the first time. Here is the compiled results from that poll.

The NTGCOP created a survey to better understand the systems institutions are using to store their T32-related data. In this report, we provide an overview of databases in use by institutions as well as recommendations for those looking to implement a T32 database of their own. 

The survey was created in February 2022, and responses were collected until early 2023. The report was presented to the NTGCOP membership at our February 2023 meeting.

The NTGCOP surveyed our members to understand more about how training grant support is structured at individual institutions and what services are offered.

The NTGCOP Leadership Committee summarized the responses and submitted them to the NIH.

The NTGCOP collected responses from our community members to the NIH Request for Information (RFI): Re-envisioning U.S. Postdoctoral Research Training and Career Progression within the Biomedical Research Enterprise in Spring 2023. The NTGCOP Leadership Committee summarized the responses and submitted them to the NIH.

Following the Table 8 discussion in our NTGCOP Community Meeting in February 2022, the NTGCOP convened a committee to write a letter outlining concerns about Data Table 8. The Table 8 Committee addressed three main issues identified by NTGCOP members.

1. Lack of clarity on the purpose of Table 8

2. Inconsistent career data collected due taxonomy confusion in Table 8

3. Inconsistent usage of "clearly associated trainees" by institutions in Table 8

This letter was sent to relevant NIH stakeholders in 2023.
