History

The North Shore Undergraduate Math Conference started in 2011 as a day of math talks and a low-stakes team math competition run by the Salem State Math Society and attended by Salem State and Gordon College students. It has grown to a regional conference dedicated to making mathematics accessible to any math undergraduates, with participants from throughout eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The conference is made possible by funding from the Northeastern Section of the MAA and from the host institution.
